Translated from Welsh

The moon was full that night
Lanena walked deep
Into the forest.
Tonight was the night
Of the fae.

Lanena pulled her cloak
Tighter around her
A wisp of pale hair fell
And she quickly pulled it back.
Her light blue eyes
Glanced around the woods.
She quickly walked down the old path
To the lake by the Boarder stone
The rumours were true
This was the night of the fae
She looked for him
Her lover.
He came only once a year.
His hair was golden brown
And eyes violet.
His name was Ceoren
And he was Lord of the Fae.

Lanena smiled as she
Remembered their first meeting.
She was hurt by her father
She ran into the woods and
Ceoren stopped her.
"Who comes into my
Land this night of
The Fae?"
Lanena cried painful tears.
"Kill me then. Before my father does,"

Ceoren saw her pain
And her wounds.
He went to her and touched
Them gently with his fingers.
As he did, a blue light
Glowed from his hands.
And Lanena's wounds
Were no more.--

"How should I pay you,"
"Don't give my secret away,"
Ceoren took her maiden hood
On that first night.--

Lanena fell in love
And returned every year
To watch the Fae.
And at dawn he left
Riding on his unicorn.--

Beneath the faery moon
Lanena found love
She found happiness
Next year
Her daughter Avelai
Would be born.--
